The Mercury and Iris Cinemas are run by the Media Resource Centre to enhance screen culture and to give screening opportunities to emerging South Australian film, video and digital media artists.

One of only TWO locations screening the ever increasing juggernaut of short film that is FLICKERFEST, the Mercury Cinema is pleased to announce our OPENING NIGHT program and prices. Described as "bite sized chunks of great cinema," FLICKERFEST has a long-standing tradition of exposing and indeed promoting talented filmmakers from around our brown continent and across this blue globe. The Mercury is running two FLICKERFEST sessions and each session is comprised of a number of short films back-to-back that were made it as "finalists" in the festival.
