Based on the true story of Mirco Mencacci, who became one of the most renowned sound editors in the Italian film industry, this is an inspirational testament to the magic of cinema. As a young child Mirco loses his sight in a freak gunshot accident and is forced into an institution by law. There the boy finds an old reel-to-reel tape player and discovers that by cutting up the tape and piecing it back together, he can create fairy tales using only sound. Mirco’s example gradually teaches the other blind children to discover their own innate talents and to pursue their dreams.
