KURT VONNEGUT: WELCOME TO THE MONKEY HOUSE

8 May – 12 May 2008

Widely praised as one of the great American authors of the 20th Century, Kurt Vonnegut Jr. (1922-2007), was known for his wry humour and unique philosophy on life. He survived the firebombing of Dresden during World War II, where was being held as a POW, an experience that was later fictionalised in, perhaps his most famous novel Slaughter House 5. Outspoken to the very end, his contribution to both literature and modern thought is immense.
