To purchase tickets in advance, call 8410 0979 between 9:00 - 5:30 Monday to Friday with your credit card handy.

You can purchase movie tickets at the Mercury Cinema box-office half an hour prior to the advertised screening time.

MERCURY for hire

The Mercury and Iris Cinemas are available for hire. We offer highly competitive rates for your screening, conference, lecture or party. We can screen just about anything from 35mm CinemaScope to your Powerpoint or web based presentation. AND we can look after your catering and liquor requirements with the minimum of fuss!

The Mercury Cinema is a 186 seat modern auditorium, fitted with comfortable tiered seating offering optimum viewing from any position. The cinema is used for a variety of functions including seminars, launches, parties, live and mixed media performances and film nights. The use of microphones and speakers' tables is free of charge for all hires.

The Cinema has premium facilities for:

35mm and 16mm projection
Video projection for all formats
Data projection for all platforms
Internet projection with 2MB link
Dolby surround sound

Whether it be a corporate video or powerpoint presentation, home movies or feature films, multi-player games or web site launches, we will show it on the big screen.

The Media Resource Centre's extensive networks within the film industry mean that we are able to arrange for brand new releases, old classics and everything in between, to be screened at the Mercury. All you need to do is let us know what you would like to see and we will do the rest.

With any hire of the Mercury Cinema there are experienced front of house staff available to provide you with hands-on assistance to ensure your function is a success.

The MRC employs a fully qualified projectionist for all screenings, so you can be assured of a quality event.
