Bunny and the bull(MA15+)

Dir: Paul King
2010 UK 101mins 35mm
Stephen Turnbull hasn't been outside in months. When a sudden infestation of mice forces him to abandon his routine, he finds his mind hurtling back to the eventful trek around Europe he undertook with his friend Bunny. Two gambling addicts let loose for the first time, they are hopelessly unprepared for the adventure that awaits them. Stephen's flat becomes the springboard for an extraordinary odyssey through lands made up of snapshots and souvenirs, from the industrial wastelands of Silesia to the bull fields of Andalucia.

Unsurprisingly, it looks amazing. King doesn’t just have a great eye for surrealist landscapes, but knows the look of funny, too — he did, after all, lens the classic monkey-bike chase in Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace. Here he gets to show off all his lo-fi skills: there are cars made of cardboard, buildings made of clock parts and probably a few sets hewn out of sticky-back plastic.' -  Empire Magazine, Nick de Semlyen

Hugely entertaining, visually inventive and extremely funny comedy with a superb script and terrific performances from Hogg and Farnaby. - ViewLondon, Matthew Turner
