The Mercury and Iris Cinemas are available for hire. We offer highly competitive rates for your screening, conference, lecture or party. We can screen just about anything from 35mm CinemaScope to your Powerpoint or web based presentation. AND we can look after your catering and liquor requirements with the minimum of fuss!

Beer cans, car tyres and water bottles are renegade architect Michael Reynolds’ tools of choice for producing thermal mass and energy-independent housing. For 30 years Reynolds and his green disciples have devoted their time to building experimental self-sufficient communities in defiance of government bureaucracy and corporate self-interest. When a natural disaster devastates several communties Reynolds and his crew seize the opportunity, lending their pioneering skills to those most in need.

All tickets $16, includes two drinks.

 

 

Presented by the Media Resource Centre and the Louis Laybourne Smith School of Architecture and Design. Part proceeds of this contributes to travel costs for a team of volunteer architecture students from the University of South Australia who will be undertaking a Global Village build with Habitat for Humanity in Nepal in June 2009. All tickets $16, includes two drinks.
