UNMASKED:
THE SECRET WORLD OF PRO WRESTLING (18+)

Professional wrestling is more real than you think. Kayfabe gets busted open the hard way as Jay Katz enters the squared circle and smacks down footage from the four corners of the globe, proving this maligned sport doesn’t start and finish with the WWE. Ever watched a Japanese bath house match? Witnessed the bloody, bloody barbed wire bouts in Puerto Rico? Seen Mexico’s most bankable movie stars grapple vampires, werewolves and even Martians? Popped for Australia’s golden age when the Fabulous Kangaroos were booked at the top of the card? Not for jabronis. Plus feature… CHAMPIONS OF JUSTICE!

Full $18
Concession $16
Group Book 8+ $14

8:00pm Thursday 5 March

FREAKS, GEEKS AND (ALMOST) X RATED PEAKS 2 (18+)

The Mu-Meson Archives hold a vast collection of ephemera relating to the fringes of film; world cinema gone wrong, political propaganda, advertising campaigns, lost music clips and public service announcements to name a few. Drawing from this incredible resource Jay Katz has tailored a program to appeal to the short attention span, creating the ultimate rollercoaster ride of cinema madness. Get ready to be thrown from pillar to post as you traverse some of the most absurd moments ever created in the name of entertainment and education. Not for the faint hearted. Plus feature…SANTO AND CAPTAIN AMERICA VS. SPIDERMAN aka 3 DEV ADAM (1973)

Full $18
Concession $16
Group Book 8+ $14

8:00pm Saturday 7 March

MENTAL HYGIENE (18+)

Pay attention, you just might learn something. Before you ever went to big school there were once at least ten educational shorts for every feature film made. Covering every nuance of human transgression, Jay Katz will teach you all about the dangers of drink driving, drug abuse, sexual intercourse, stranger danger, dating and household safety. Witness some of the most bizarre moments ever committed to film, conditioning your behaviour with outrageously overzealous use of shock, fear and exploitation techniques. Not for the squeamish. Plus feature documentary… HELL’S HIGHWAY!

Full $18/Concession $16/Group Book 8+ $14

8:00pm Sunday 8 March

BEYOND THE FRINGE OF REASON (18+)

After years of research into the world of parapolitics, conspiracies and the anomalous, Jay Katz presents the cutting edge on the real nature of the world we live in. Are you aware of how many clear films and stills of UFO’s actually exist? Did NASA really land on the moon? Want to find out who the shooter on the Grassy Knoll was? Is it true that the Mickey Mouse Club is the centre of mind control in the Western World? What’s going to happen in the year 2012? You will gasp in horror as nothing is as you perceived it to be. Not for the sceptical. Plus feature documentary… ZEITGEIST: ADDENDUM!

Full $18
Concession $16
Group Book 8+ $14

8:00pm Monday 9 March

GRINDHOUSE DOUBLE FEATURE 2 (R18+):
THE RAIDERS OF ATLANTIS (1983)
Plus BLACK SAMURAI (1977)

Dick Dale is back with two more lost treasures, more shorts, more trailers and (yes) more surprises. The greatest civilization history has ever known resurfaces in a bubble only to lay waste to Miami on a 1950s Ford in The Raiders of Atlantis. Kung-Fu master Jim Kelly flys a jetpack and unloads his deadly fists onto vultures, midgets and Satanic priests to stop them getting their hands on the diabolical freeze bomb in Black Samurai.

TICKETS: FULL $14/ CON $12 / GROUP BOOK 8+ $11

8:00pm Tuesday 10 March

GRINDHOUSE DOUBLE FEATURE 3 (M15+):
THE IMPOSSIBLE KID starring WENG WENG (1982)
Plus STARCRASH (1978)

Your last chance to experience the madness, Dick Dale digs deep, pulling out two cult gems for your displeasure (along with the shorts, trailers and surprises). In the sequel to For Your Height Only 2¾ foot high Weng Weng returns as super spy Agent 00 in The Impossible Kid. Finally, Christopher Plummer slums it with redneck robots, the Neanderthal planet, light sabres, stop-motion SPFX, Marjoe and The Hoff in Starcrash.
