The Mercury and Iris Cinemas are run by the Media Resource Centre to enhance screen culture and to give screening opportunities to emerging South Australian film, video and digital media artists.

The Media Resource Centre, in partnership with the partnership the City of Holdfast Bay, is delighted to present the return of Movie Extra Tropfest 2010. The world's largest short film festival leaps into its 18th year. Live from Sydney on the big, big screen. Join us for the glamour of the red carpet arrivals, the screening of the 16 finalists and the excitement of the awards. Local films by SA's next generation will also be screening during the day. Get ready for the biggest Tropfest in Adelaide yet, this year taking place by the beach. Bring a picnic, watch the sunset, enjoy the party and have a great night out at this free event.
